Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a nationally affiliated, respected family education and support program that believes that the parent is the child’s first and most important teacher and that all children are born to learn. This is a voluntary and free service open to all children between the ages of birth to 5 residing in Robeson County as is funded by Smart Start.

Care Management Services

The Postpartum/Newborn Home Visitation program delivers health assessments, social support and educational services directly to the mom and baby in their home. A registered nurse will visit the home and follow up on the mother’s and infant’s health status and well-being.

Care Coordination for Children (CC4C) Program

Available for children birth to age 5, with a target population of special healthcare needs, children exposed to toxic stress, and/or were cared for in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), or in foster care.
